DCS in RGTPP, Hisar

SFK successfully delivered and implemented the Yokogawa Distributed Control System (DCS) at RGTPP, HPGCL, Hisar for Unit 1 and Unit 2 (2x600MW). The project aimed to enhance operational efficiency and system reliability through a unified automation platform integrating HMI, logic solvers, historian, database, alarm management, and engineering tools.

With Yokogawa’s proven track record of 50 years of backward-compatible innovations, SFK ensured a smooth system upgrade and seamless integration with existing infrastructure. DCS HISAR

VMS in DCRTPP, Yamuna Nagar

DCRTTP, HPGCL, Yamuna Nagar aimed to enhance the reliability and performance of its 2x300MW Steam Turbine Generators and High-Tension Drives by upgrading its existing online Vibration Monitoring System (VMS). To achieve this, SFK implemented the advanced VM600 from Forbes Marshall, a joint venture partner of Shinkawa, ensuring real-time vibration monitoring, predictive maintenance, and early fault detection.

With multi-sensor capabilities, FFT-based fault analysis, and seamless SCADA/IoT integration, the VM600 upgrade significantly improved condition monitoring across critical assets. This modernization reduced unplanned downtime, optimized maintenance scheduling, and enhanced overall plant safety. By investing in a high-performance VMS, SFK reinforced DCRTTP’s commitment to operational excellence and long-term asset reliability.

LHD Cables in DCRTPP, Yamuna Nagar

SFK successfully executed the supply and installation of Linear Heat Detection (LHD) cable, controller, and junction box at DCRTPP, Yamuna Nagar, as part of a critical fire detection system upgrade. The project aimed to improve the fire safety infrastructure in high-risk zones where conventional smoke detectors are not feasible, such as cable galleries and electrical panels.

The LHD system provided a reliable and cost-effective solution for early fire detection by sensing heat along the entire length of the cable. SFK’s scope included the timely supply and configuration of the LHD cable, controllers, and junction boxes, ensuring seamless integration with the plant’s existing fire protection network. This initiative has strengthened the plant’s overall safety and compliance with fire protection standards, contributing to uninterrupted and secure operations.

CAAQMS in IGI (GMR), New Delhi

SFK successfully implemented a Continuous Ambient Air Quality Monitoring System (CAAQMS) from FPI at Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport under the GMR-led airport authority. With IGI Airport being one of the busiest in the world, real-time air quality monitoring was essential to track pollution levels and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.

The system continuously monitors key pollutants such as PM2.5, PM10, NOx, SO2, CO, O3 and VOCs providing accurate and real-time data for better air quality management. With SCADA and IoT integration, the system enables seamless data acquisition, remote monitoring, and automated reporting. This deployment has significantly strengthened IGI Airport’s ability to analyze pollution trends, implement corrective measures, and enhance environmental sustainability, ensuring cleaner air for passengers, employees, and the surrounding community.
